We are now on the lookout for an Audit Senior to join our growing team. All work is reviewed by a manager, but is largely unsupervised at this level.
What your day to day will look like as an Audit Senior:
Plan, evaluate and complete the necessary work schedules associated with the Firm’s procedures for the audit of companies.
Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for manager review.
Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments.
Guiding and advising trainee / junior staff in the department, delegate work where necessary and suggest work that other members of the team can undertake.
Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to “progress manage” their own assignments.
Take responsibility for a certain assignment, able to coordinate separate Ashgates services (ensuring queries cleared at a suitable point in time for clients), plan ahead suggesting dates for internal reviews etc.
May be required to travel to clients’ premises, including staying away overnight in some instances. Some overtime is required from time to time.
Skills and experience you will have:
Proven experience within a similar role
ACA/ACCA qualified or studying
Passionate about offering a high-quality service
Friendly, and able to communicate clearly with both colleagues and clients
