Personal Info
After 17 years in banking covering a variety of roles including Financial Planning Consultant and Area Manager, I joined Ashgates in 2007. I have been a Partner since 2014 working with business start-ups as well as having a portfolio of existing clients across a wide range of businesses with the majority having a turnover up to £2 million.
Currently I am very passionate about Cloud Based Accounting and the benefits this is bringing to businesses, especially Xero, which we are using and working with many of our clients on.
-
Qualifications :
FCCA (Chartered Certified Accountant) -
Experience :
My banking experience undertaking roles in business, sales, service and people management means I bring a fresh and new angle to accountancy and business advice. I also like to take a very active role in the small business community, working very closely with Business bank managers and solicitors. I have been using Xero with my clients since I became a partner in 2014. Business owners and managers that I am working with like the fact that Xero gives off up to date management information to help with business decisions. -
What makes Ashgates different? :
We pride ourselves on giving a high standard of service together with proactive business advice, which has resulted in around 90% of our new business being introductions from existing clients. I am very proud since becoming a Xero Partner in 2014, Ashgates has progressed its usage and experience with Xero, achieving Gold partner status in 2018. This means we have the experience to help support you and your business in the transition to a cloud based Accounting Software. -
Personally speaking :
Outside of work, I like spending time with my family and I have two boys who keep me very busy being a taxi driver and spectator at cricket and football around the East Midlands. If there is any free time after this, I like to fill it with either playing golf or watching any sport especially Nottingham Forest and I am constantly the butt of jokes from the many staff and clients who are Derby fans.
